Please dont shave your butt
Posted by mgsninja on 09. of March 2006, 13:56

This is just a brilliant story. Thanks goes to Naruto for sending me the link.
| Quote: | "I have recently made a mistake in my life, and I offer my story to you, that you may learn from my error. It all started, as many things do, with me having trouble shitting.
No, I was not constipated; this was not a regularity problem but a matter of technique. It seems my ass-hair had grown to such a length that tiny grogans were constantly getting tied up in the matted jungle between my asscheeks. It led to much frustration, with me KNOWING that I still had something to drop, but unable to shake the tenacious turd loose from its butthair dwelling. Eventually I would have to do two things: either reach down with some paper and try to pinch off the lingering loaf (which required careful precision to avoid smearing the creature all over my rear, especially since I had no way of seeing what I was doing) or just go for broke, start wiping, and hope that I could remove all the leftover fecal matter before the toilet paper reached its Can't-Be-Flushed threshold.
I was contemplating this problem, when I had what seemed at the time to be a bright idea. "Hey! This is my butt and my butt-hair, right? So why don't I just eliminate all the hair, and then my grogans will flow out like beer from a keg!" I said to myself. It is a statement that will go down in history with a lot of other regretted statements. "How many Indians could there be?" said by General Custer. "Looks like a good day for a drive!" by JFK. "There! America On-Line now has complete Usenet access!" by some idiot system tech. Such was my anal shaving idea.
I performed the operation that night, with a cheap disposable razor and a towel to sit on. Starting from the bottom, and shaving from the crack to the cheeks, I began the arduous process of ridding my ass of hair. Occassionally, I would have to clean the razor of accumulated hair and miscellaneous slime, which I did by wiping it on the towel. Slowly, my twin mounds and the between-ravine began to resemble the hairless cheeks of a newborn baby. Finally, I wiped the razor one last time, and surveyed my work. The towel was covered with a pile of hair. My ass was smooth as ivory. I smiled, satisfied, thinking my troubles were over.
Little did I know.
I now have a great respect for anal-hair. Like everything in this world God created, it has its mighty purpose in existence. It was only after I had removed it that I started to learn how much I had been taking it for granted. For one, it provides friction. I learned this the next day, when I walked out into the sun heading for class. After climbing two flights of stairs and starting to sweat, I started to notice something unpleasant. The sweat was accumulating in my crack, and was causing the unpleasant sensation of my two asscheeks sliding past each other with every step. I thought about going to the bathroom and wiping it off, but had to get to class. Eventually, I thought, it would dry.
Unfortunately, it did dry, but only after mingling with the microscopic ****- molecules lingering around my brown starfish. When I stood up after class, my cheeks were stuck together with a slimy sticky ****/sweat combination. As I made my way back to my dorm, it started to itch. God-DAMN, did it itch! Felt like a swarm of ants was making its way up and down my crack. Fighting to keep from jamming my hand down there and scratching away, I rushed back to the dorm.
Unfortunately again, this exertion caused me to sweat, and when I finally reached my room, my cheeks were sliding back and forth against each other like a pair of horny cane-toads. I quickly dropped my pants, and attempted to dry my ass off by sticking it in front of a fan and spreading my cheeks. As I pulled the two mounds of flesh apart, a horrible stench burst free and filled the room. Every dog within a 4 block radius started to howl. I had it worst of all, as the ripe aroma of festering ****/sweat went into the fan and blew back into my face. I fought to keep from heaving. And as I sat there, fighting vomit, my ass cheeks spread and dripping, with the concentrated aroma of my body odor mixed with the tangy smell of my own **** blowing right into my face, I had only one thought: "It will be like this until the hair grows back. Weeks."
Later on, trying to deal as best I could, wiping my ass at every opportunity, I discovered another wonderful use for ass-hair - ventilation. I attempted to launch a fart, only to have it get stuck between my asscheeks. Apparently, with no hair, the two pink twins can get vacuum sealed together, and the result was a frustrating fart that slid up and down between my cheeks like a lost gerbil.
As if that wasn't enough, I am now enduring further torture. As anyone who has ever shaved anything knows, when hair is first growing in, it comes in as stubble. Imagine your ass having the texture of a brillo pad. Well, that is what I am dealing with now. It is a hellish torture, and there are many times when I just look out the window and contemplate why I shouldn't just jump out and get it all over with in one fleshy splat, rather than endure this constant agony.
Friends, DON'T SHAVE YOUR ASS-HAIR!" |

BitComet 0.61 has been released
Posted by mgsninja on 12. of January 2006, 08:41

The release fixes some bugs, but most importantly i fixes the problem with DHT.
BitComet 0.60 was banned from many private trackers because it did not respect the "private" flag of torrents.
This meant that the BitComet client shared the torrent and peers through the DHT network, allowing peers that where not a member of the private tracker to download the files.

BitTornado T-0.3.9a released
Posted by mgsninja on 19. of December 2004, 02:29

| Quote: | updated for Python 2.4
more bugs fixed
GUI width problem known, will be fixed later
randomized port selection
NOTE:
May require port forwarding adjustment
still no new GUI, been working on the engine
various new features |
| Quote: | Ever since the Python people released a new revision of their rather intriguing programming language, I've had people bugging me to put out a new version (especially since there were issues with running the 0.3.8 codebase under it). I'd been waiting for a version of wxPython for Windows that would work with the new Python to be released as well, and now that it has, well, here you go!
This version also fixes a few other bugs; the number of upload slots is now proper, and firewalled peers that lose all their connections will find themselves reconnecting more quickly, and a few other problems were fixed.
I did hold back a number of fixes and improvements pending work on 0.4.0. Otherwise I'd wind up having to update two separate branches of code, something I'd really rather not do. (Forking your own code can suck badly.) So the window-width problem still isn't fixed. Oh well. |
| Quote: | | The T-0.3.9a release contains a bugfix for the tracker, and the modified installer includes a DLL which is missing on some people's systems. If you're already successfully running T-0.3.9 on your system, there's no need to upgrade. |

BitTornado T-0.3.8 released
Posted by mgsninja on 01. of November 2004, 18:15

| Quote: | maintenance release
works better with XP SP2
some bugs fixed
GUI width problem known, will be fixed later
randomized port selection
NOTE:
May require port forwarding adjustment
still no new GUI, been working on the engine
various new features |
| Quote: | | This is a maintenance release for the client; it's mostly to fix problem induced when people install Service Pack 2 for XP. There are a few more bugs fixed, including in the tracker code and in the launchmany clients. There's a very stupid UI bug, caused by the newest version of wxPython, in which a very long filename will cause the window to stretch even if the option is deselected in Prefs. This may not be fixed until the next GUI is written. |

Yu-Gi-Oh fansub group change?
Posted by Ktdata on 14. of August 2004, 09:21

Some of you may have noticed that the staff subbing Yu-Gi-Oh Series 1 is from #tv-nihon. After all agreeing on this we have decided to move this project over to Tv-Nihon. Please not that the subbing staff did not change in this move and will stay the same with an addition of another translator. Along with the change we are in the process of getting higher quality raws, so for now there will be no new releases until we get the new raws. We ask for anyone who can donate money to get higher quality raws to do so on Tv-Nihon's Web site(www.tvnihon.com). So from now on all releases will be released in #Tv-Nihon (it is on the same server as #shadow2k is) and on their BT page. Don't worry about shadow2k because we will still be open and alive so feel free to stay and chat with us. The only difference is that Yu-Gi-Oh Series 1 will now be released under Tv-Nihon's name instead of Shadow2k's. I also will keep posting release information here about all Yu-Gi-Oh Series 1 subs. So for now I will see you guys on the Tv-Nihon side and stay tuned for higher quality releases. And Remember help out if you can.

G3 Torrent 0.999a released
Posted by mgsninja on 29. of July 2004, 20:30

| Quote: | - NEW Added the ability to select only certain files to DL from the Multi-File Torrent manager.
- Updated the types of clients the program can recognize. As well as the types of clients that can be spoofed to all the latest versions.
- Decreased the length of time the ballons stay on screen. its 8 seconds now.
- Preallocation no longer happens if there is just 1 single large file. For multiple files, preallocation has to happen because of the way the mutitorrent mngr works right now.
- Added 2 optional columns in the peer list view. They can be enabled via right click to the column header. Totaly unessasary for most people, but may be interesting to some.
- "spew" is toggled off now for torrents that are not currently selected or when the window is minimized. This means lower CPU usage - Especially when there are many torrents running. Also CPU time is much lower now when minimized.
- Changed the remove torrent hotkey to Ctrl+Del
- Numerous bug fixes

BitTornado T-0.3.6 released
Posted by mgsninja on 12. of July 2004, 01:30

| Quote: | bugs fixed
randomized port selection
NOTE:
May require port forwarding adjustment
experimental automatic upload rate limiter
reduced RAM usage (2nd try the charm?)
smarter upstream control
fast-resume, file priority system
still no new GUI, been working on the engine
various new features |
| Quote: | You may have noticed a version number was skipped; that's because part of the last release was broken, and I found out quickly but figured I'd better test things before shipping a new one.
T-0.3.6 introduces some very important changes. The first one is a change to port selection as discussed in http://forums.degreez.net/viewtopic.php?t=1531 . IF YOU CURRENTLY HAVE PORTS FORWARDED, YOU MAY NEED TO CHANGE YOUR PORT RANGE AND/OR FIREWALL SETTINGS TO ACCOMMODATE THIS CHANGE. Another change is an attempt to fix problems with excessive RAM usage, as discussed in: http://forums.degreez.net/viewtopic.php?t=1489 . With luck, this will reduce the extreme memory fragmentation we've been seeing.
The last major change is an experimental automatic upstream limiter, which is now the default upload mode for clients. It is NOT perfect, and setting one's upstream manually will work better; but it will allow newbies to receive reasonable download rates without their having to come to the forum and bug people about how to set the download rate. |

G3 Torrent 0.998a released
Posted by mgsninja on 03. of July 2004, 23:51

| Quote: | - Fixed bugs in the right click -> add/remove columns code

BitTornado T-0.3.3 released
Posted by mgsninja on 28. of June 2004, 13:28

| Quote: | reduced RAM usage (hopefully)
smarter upstream control
bugs fixed
fast-resume, file priority system
automatically saves stats and
some client settings
still no new GUI, been working on the engine
various new features |
| Quote: | A new function has been added to the codebase, and will be available in the next major release (T-0.3.3); smart upload rate fudging. Like many of my improvements, most people won't even notice it.
What is this feature? It accounts for "TCP ACK" overhead. Basically, when you download, your system sends acknowledgements for the data it's received back up the pipe. This isn't performed at the BitTorrent protocol level, but on a much lower level and the old codebase didn't take it into account. As a result, for people on asymmetric connections with 8X as fast downstream as up (1M/128K for example) or higher, setting your upload at 80% of your pipe's max would still result in upstream flooding at full download.
So what does this change? You will notice that your upload decreases a bit when you are downloading at full speed.
With the new client, it will be recommended you set your upload at 90% or higher of your pipe's max. This will mean better performance on start-up and when downloading without choking your upstream. |
| Quote: | | A new version of BitTornado has been released. This version includes the smarter upload-rate calculation system noted in the prior message, some changes to hopefully reduce the amount of RAM Python allocates for itself, and various bugfixes throughout the code. Enjoy! |

BitTornado T-0.3.0 released
Posted by mgsninja on 16. of May 2004, 20:29

| Quote: | massive changes
fast-resume, file priority system
automatically saves stats and
some client settings
still no new GUI, been working on the engine
various new features
bugs fixed (as usual) |
| Quote: | | I am pleased to announce that BitTornado T-0.3.0 has just been released. It has many features, including UPnP port forwarding access, engine improvements, a pretty per-file priority system hiding in the Details view, a fast-resume system that will make restarting torrents a breeze (and is helpful for those of you running seed servers, since you only have to hash-check once)... Other new functionality includes an option to flush data to disk every 5 minutes, for those of you using Windows 98 who want to run BitTorrent despite having problems with crashes... A download-rate limiter (I shoehorned it into the Advanced window since the main UI is going to be redesigned) for people with bandwidth quotas and problems with downstream flooding... An option to auto-save in the default directory, and a feature that automatically resumes files you've started downloading without needing your input... I think there's more, but you'll just have to go look! |

G3 Torrent 0.996 released
Posted by mgsninja on 08. of May 2004, 04:54

- Changed the way Resume/Paused/Stop slightly.
Pause is roughly equivallent to Requeue in other clients now.
An active torrent (green download, yellow yeild, or happy face icons):
Can be Stopped - The torrent will not start again untill you hit resume.
Can be Paused/Requeued - The torrent will resume automatically later.
A stopped torrent (Red stop icon, status says Stopped ):
Can be Resumed. Or Can be Paused/Requeued.
A paused torrent (Blue pause icon, status says Paused(Queued)):
Can be Resumed. or Can be Stopped.
One minor difference bettween requeuing a stopped one from requeuing a running torrent is that if it is running and paused/requeued, it will go to the bottom of the queue. Stopped torrents stay in place.
- Added check box to Multi-File Order Manager to toggle it from popping up all the time. If unchecked you can still access it manually via right click
- Added keyboard shortcuts (Check the menu bar)
- Added Toggle tabbed view option to the menu bar
- Message tab now shows the url of the tracker when there is a tracker error.
- Fixed issues related to On Completion
- Fixed various issues related to how lists were drawn. Some flickering, the last item on a list not clearing, artifacts when resizing cols etc
- Fixed crash bugs in the Progress Dialog
- Fixed move up move down functions in dlordermanager (credit goes to spreadit)
- Fixed "rejected by tracker - key did not match key supplied earlier"
- Clipboard functions fixed.
- Fixed swedish flag
- Fixed a bug in the "Progress Dialog" when restoring the minimized window
- About box instead of About tab
- I've removed all references to psyco (a JIT compiler) for now. It seems to be troublesome and causing crashes for some people

BitTornado T-0.2.0 released
Posted by mgsninja on 21. of April 2004, 15:39

"new disk buffering
various engine improvements
single-port core now very usable
(with btlaunchmany{curses}.py)
bugs fixed"
"I'm in the process of releasing T-0.2.0. Still no new graphical skin, I've been fixing problems in the engine. New features include disk buffering algorithms that should reduce the amount of disk thrashing -- at the cost of some RAM, of course. The tracker connect code still hasn't been fixed yet, so the client may still hang in RAM; work on the new GUI hasn't been started yet."

Update: This is not a fake or a serious fansub, but a crazy sub.
It's more of a parody in the spirit of Tokyopop's Initial D slaughter.
Examples:
"Its his special team to develop tite new ricing skillz!"
"I heard they're using irc and bittorrent to send out challanges to other ricers!"
"I heard they've got more responses than d/ls of nar00to episode!"

The main reason for the layout change, was to introduce more content.
As of to day the new sections are:
BitTorrent Clients
BitTorrent Sites
Stats
Themes
The main thing that will be done now, is adding more BitTorrent Clients and Sites.
You can also submit Clients and Sites to us using the form under Clients and Sites list.
I'm also working on more themes for the site and stats.
Well that's it for now.
I'm going to take a well deserved sleep now.

BitTornado T-0.1.4 released
Posted by mgsninja on 07. of April 2004, 05:17

"minimize to tray icon fixed
disappearing tray icon fixed
single-port core now very usable
(with btlaunchmany{curses}.py)
bugs fixed"
"With a number of bugs repaired, with the client finally working properly with the latest version of wxPython, BitTornado T-0.1.4 is up. It has a number of enhancements under the hood where you won't see them but you may notice their effects, and for users of btlaunchmany.py and btlaunchmanycurses.py the new single-port core is in effect. There have been some bugs repaired in the tracker codebase as well.
This ends concentration on the single-port core; work on the http library rewrite will be postponed as the new GUI is written."

Manga in Norway
Posted by mgsninja on 30. of October 2003, 23:59

To my surprise, I found a manga book and a magazine at my local store today.
And they where translated into norwegian.
The book is "Ranma 1/2 #1" and it's in the left to right format. (The wrong way)
The magazine is called "MANGA MANIA" and it's in the right to left format. (The right way)
The magazine includes "Love Hina", "GTO Great Teacher Onizuka", "Blade of the immortal" and "Chobits".
So if you live in Norway, pleas support them.
More info to come...

You know you're living in 2003 when...
Posted by mgsninja on 31. of July 2003, 18:43

You know you're living in 2003 when...
1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.
2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.
3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of 3.
4. You e-mail your mate who works at the desk next to you.
5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends is that they do not have e-mail addresses.
6. When you go home after a long day at work you still answer the phone in a business manner.
7. When you make phone calls from home, you accidentally dial "9" to get an outside line.
8. You've sat at the same desk for four years and worked for three different companies.
10. You learn about your redundancy on the 11 o'clock news.
11. Your boss doesn't have the ability to do your job.
12. Contractors outnumber permanent staff and are more likely to get long-service awards.
...and the real clinchers are...
13. You read this entire list, and kept nodding and smiling.
14. As you read this list, you think about forwarding it to your "friends".
15. You got this e-mail from a friend that never talks to you any more, except to send you jokes from the net.
16. You are too busy to notice there was no No. 9.
17. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a No.9.
DOH!

The quality is even better.
The story of Hikaru spans over many years. And you get to see how he grows as a person.
It's interesting how this manga makes you want learn the art of Go.
Even though you know nothing about Go or even Chess. You'll find this to be no hinder at all.
Hope you enjoy this manga as much as I have, and still do.

A new anime series is now up
Posted by mgsninja on 31. of March 2003, 16:57

I've put up Tenchi in Tokyo dub Episodes 01-26 on the download page.
These are the same episodes that we hosted before the site went down.
The episodes are Real Media files and are dubbed in english.
This download is for people that don't have broadband or just want to enjoy a new anime.
The dubbing of this series isn't bad at all, and the small resolution isn't really a problem.
I've watched through this release a couple of times, and I enjoyed it each time.
I spent some time trying to get a good statistics program for BitTorrent up and running.
But for now I've had no luck.
The fact that I don't have the time to do it makes it even harder.
The BitTorrent server is doing very well.
I haven't had any new problems since I fixed the hardware and did the complete reinstall.
That's it, no more news for now.

I can't promise anything, as I've got a lot to this weekend and next week.
If the downloads are not up by Monday, you'll have to wait until next weekend.
The reason for this is that I've yet to fully understand BitTorrent.
But the good thing is that I've already had a successful test run.
